GYM BOD has been working with Thrive Collective since Feb 2021. The decision to engage Thrive was the biggest decision we have made to date, however it’s also been one of our best decisions so far. GYM BOD has experienced tremendous growth in the past 3.5 years, thanks to the business development and strategic advice of George & Christian.

In the early stages, Thrive provided invaluable guidance in ensuring our product attributes, value proposition and branding were suitable for mass market roll out, and educated us on how the major retailers work commercially. Courtney and I do not have backgrounds in FMCG, so having Christian and George as trusted advisors has been extremely reassuring.

As a result of this strategic & very hands – on contribution from Thrive, GYM BOD has achieved distribution to +1,600 retailer outlets across Australia and New Zealand through Coles, Woolworths, AMPOL, Viva (Reddy Express, Coles Express)

Having worked with Thrive Collective for over 4.5 years shows the working relationship we have with both Christian and George.

We were a small brand with huge ambitions, and had no idea where to start commercially and in the major retail space. Thanks to Thrive, we were able to get our first big break working with Dan Murphys which lead to Woolworths, BWS, AMPOL and Viva (Reddy Express, Coles Express). Going from 100 stores to over 4,000 is no easy feat, which we would have never been able to grow the way we did without the guys at Thrive.

Outside of landing and maintaining our major contracts, ongoing business development and forecasting, the team work closely with our International manufacturer which has played a critical role in our operations!

The Thrive team has been instrumental to our growth in retail channels.

Before partnering with them, we had no retail presence; now, our products are available in over 1,400 stores across Australia, including Coles, Woolworths, and Woolworths Metro.

Their support with commercial modelling, new product development, range reviews, and handling retailer presentations and negotiations has been invaluable.

They truly operate as an extension of our team, allowing our small business’s internal staff to focus on other business activities.

The Kimchi Company

The Kimchi Company has really seen the benefit from working with Thrive Collective achieving distribution across 1,000 + stores.

With an objective to expand distribution into major retailers the Thrive team worked on financial modelling and crafting presentations for retailers, showing the value that the Kimchi Company can add to their category among all the other Kimchi brands that were already in stores.

From there they managed the retailer negotiations and achieved distribution into all Coles local stores and a trial into one Woolworths store.

Whilst managing the ongoing retailer relationships, they monitored the sales and made adjustments were needed, which led to expanding into over 450 Coles Stores and 60 Woolworths Metro stores.

Following the success in Woolworths Metro they achieved distribution expansion into 400 Woolworths stores as well as distribution in Woolworths NZ.

Overall George and Christian are great to work with and looking forward to continuing this growth trajectory going forward.
